Velvet Orchid Press is a bold, sex-positive, feminist, queer-owned publishing company dedicated to creating immersive, inclusive, and unapologetically adult fantasy worlds—on the page and at the table.
We specialize in queer, emotionally rich fantasy romance, contemporary transgender romance, and adult tabletop roleplaying games that celebrate desire, identity, and liberation through storytelling, worldbuilding, and game design.
Founded by Tatiana Vixen Reyes, Velvet Orchid Press grew from a vision to build a publishing house that centers marginalized voices—especially queer, trans, disabled, and neurodivergent creators—and challenges traditional boundaries around sexuality and romance in fiction and roleplay.
Who Velvet Orchid Press Is For
Velvet Orchid Press is for readers, players, and game masters who:
- Want queer-inclusive fantasy romance, contemporary transgender romance, and adult TTRPGs that don’t fade to black unless they choose to
- Crave rich lore and character-driven stories where desire, power, and identity are central to the narrative
- Value consent, kink-positivity, and emotional nuance in how sex, romance, and relationships are portrayed
- Are tired of mainstream fantasy and romance that sidelines queer, trans, disabled, and neurodivergent characters
- Want tools and stories that let them calibrate intensity and themes to their own comfort level
If you’ve ever wished your books and games could be both emotionally resonant and, when you want them to be, gloriously spicy, you’re in the right place.
What We Create
At Velvet Orchid Press, we’re building worlds and stories where romance, desire, and identity are not afterthoughts—they’re part of the core design.
We focus on:
- Fantasy romance
Queer, character-driven romance stories set in lush, imaginative worlds—starting with future novels set in the Érōsikúsō universe. - Contemporary transgender romance
Grounded, emotionally rich stories about trans characters finding love, community, and pleasure in the modern world—anchored by the She Came at the Glass Heel series. - Adult tabletop roleplaying games and supplements
Queer-inclusive settings, adventures, and tools designed for Pathfinder 2e and compatible systems, with customizable “heat levels” so each table can decide how romantic, sensual, or explicit they want their game to be. - Future physical editions and accessories
As our worlds grow, we plan to develop beautifully illustrated books, maps, and accessories, culminating in future collector’s editions and special releases.
She Came at the Glass Heel
She Came at the Glass Heel is a contemporary transgender romance series set in and around The Glass Heel, a fictional nightclub in Chicago.
The series follows trans and queer characters whose lives intersect on the dance floor, backstage, and in the quiet, vulnerable moments before and after the lights go up. It’s about found family, chosen names, gender euphoria, and the messy, beautiful work of loving and being loved as your whole self.
- Setting: The Glass Heel, a queer nightclub in Chicago that serves as a hub for community, performance, and transformation
- Focus: Contemporary transgender romance with heat levels that support the emotional arc of each story
- Themes: Queer desire, kink, identity, chosen family, and the tension between vulnerability and power
- Tone: Intimate, emotionally rich, and romantic—with sensuality and spice that serve the characters and their journeys
The first novella is already published, with more installments in development. As the series grows, it will form a tapestry of interconnected stories that echo the same values at the heart of Velvet Orchid Press: sex-positivity, inclusivity, and the belief that pleasure and romance both deserve narrative depth.
Érōsikúsō: Our Upcoming Campaign Setting & Story Universe
Our flagship tabletop project, Érōsikúsō, is a Pathfinder 2e–compatible campaign setting infused with dark sensuality, rich lore, and mature themes.
Érōsikúsō is currently in active development, with a planned release beginning in late 2026. Rather than rushing the world into existence, we’re taking the time to build:
- Cultures, factions, and philosophies that treat sex, power, and identity as meaningful parts of the world
- Mechanics and tools that center desire, consent, and erotic power at the table
- A flexible “heat level” structure, so groups can choose how romantic, sensual, or explicit they want their games to be—from low-heat tension and fade-to-black to fully explicit adult play
The setting will live primarily online, with content hosted through platforms like World Anvil and supported by a tiered subscription model tied to levels of erotic content. This will allow players and game masters to unlock regions, lore, and mechanics that match their preferred intensity and themes.
Érōsikúsō is not just a game setting—it’s also the foundation for future fantasy romance novels. Stories set in this universe will explore the same cultures, magic, and power dynamics that appear at the table, giving readers and players different ways to fall in love with the world.
As Érōsikúsō matures, Velvet Orchid Press plans to develop:
- Setting guides and lore compendiums
- Adventures, locations, and factions steeped in romantic and erotic power dynamics, consent, and desire
- Spells, magic items, and systems that treat erotic and emotional energy as sources of power
- Maps and visual worldbuilding that bring Érōsikúsō’s sensual landscapes to life
All of this will build toward future physical editions and collector’s releases once the world is ready to step fully into the spotlight.
Our Values
We believe that sex, gender, romance, and pleasure are worthy of narrative depth and artistic respect. Every story, spell, map, or magic item we publish honors the power of fantasy to explore both the sacred and the seductive.
Our work is guided by a few core values:
- Sex-positivity with substance
We treat sex, kink, romance, and desire as complex, meaningful, and worthy of care—not punchlines or cheap shock value. - Queer and trans liberation
Queer, trans, disabled, and neurodivergent characters and creators belong at the center of the story, not at the margins. - Consent and care
Boundaries, negotiation, and enthusiastic consent are baked into how we design worlds, tables, and narratives. - Inclusive play and reading
We design tools and stories so people can dial in their own comfort level, from low-heat romance and fade-to-black to explicit adult content. - Artistic respect for the erotic and the romantic
Eroticism and romance are treated as art, craft, and storytelling—not something to be hidden or apologized for.
